Backing Up Your DVD’s

Slysoft’s AnyDVD is not free but a great value for what it does and its a great program to back up your DVD’s.

Remember DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter? A long time ago those were the free programs used to back up your DVD’s and with DVD Shrink you could shrink a dual layer DVD to fit on a regular DVD. You can still find those programs on the internet but they are no longer supported or updated so they don’t support newer DVD protection. Now you can use them in conjuction with AnyDVD they will work once again.

AnyDVD runs in the background and sits in your windows tray. Once you pop in your DVD, AnyDVD automatically scans the DVD and detects and removes the protection. At that point you can use the copy program of your choice whether it be Nero, DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, etc. It is really pretty simple!
