What is your website worth?

Just wanted to pass along this cool website that will estimate the value of an established website.

I’m not sure how accurate the numbers are in the real world value but its cool to play with & fun just to see.

dnScoop

Here is how the site values:

dnScoop.com attempts to estimate a value for an established website or a domain name by using factors such as:

  • Links pointing to the domain
  • Popularity of the domain
  • Age of the domain
  • Pagerank of the domain
  • Traffic to the domain
  • and more…

We believe that these factors are a good indicator of a site’s value and earning potential. We don’t claim that the tool is 100% accurate, but we are constantly working to improve accuracy.

The site also gives you an idea of what to charge for links based on your value & they have a marketplace where you can buy or sell domains.

After you submit your website & it gives you the results. You can copy the html code at the bottom to post on your website. Check it out to see what it says you site is worth and leave me a comment with your sites worth. Here is what it says my site is worth:

My Site is worth
$15,965
How much is
your site worth?

There is also a widget from Technorati that does the same thing, but you can get it here too:

I also know of another one, but I’m too lazy to look up the address. It estimates the daily ad revenue for sites which is rather cool too.

I’m a member over at DNscoop and think ti’s a great community! Out of all the upcomming forums this one in particular has the most potential!

I think it’s cool that they also offer a good service to their members!

    Nice find man!

dnScoop and the others have always been great novelty toys, but unfortunately they don’t give accurate values. :( I’d be rich if they did…

Hi, I was reading about dnScoop.com a couple of weeks ago, and wondered if it was worth the try. But maybe after seeing some of your comments and your post, I might take a try at it. Thanks for the info. ~jj~

Nihar, the only thing I can see is I have more incoming links (14,400). After checking it again my site was worth less ($11,124). I guess they are still tweaking it.

DNSCoop is a great resource. I’ve used it for other websites to keep track of how I’m doing with link building and also what it think its worth. Gives me a little inspiration to keep making my worth improve!

  14. Nihar on June 4th, 2008 2:07 am

Will try increasing incoming links to my site.

Also check my posts on my site and leave a comment or too…

Is it bad if the estimated site value is listed as “7 packs of Ramen Noodle”? Does that have something to do with PageRank? ;)

  16. The Tech Juice on July 3rd, 2008 4:10 pm

Awesome, thanks for showing me this.

I wonder what my site is worth…

    We’ll see!

You should also consider websitefact.com ; they provide a nice summary of the website performance. I find their WF rank being more accurate than Alexa.

Yeah, i found http://www.websitefact.com useful too

Hi! http://www.estimix.com is another website value, estimations and information tool. It seems to use the Alexa traffic information quite well and generates very accurate traffic information
