Zap Grab Free Screen grabber

ZapGrab is simple and functional screenshot program able to copy practically everything that appears in your monitor, as easy as to take a photo.

ZapGrab allows you to capture screen of two ways: the complete screen or a section of the screen with a quadrangular form delimited by you with the mouse.

This program has been very useful for me. Prior to using this program I would just do the old Print Screen method of capturing. Then I could only capture a specific window or the whole screen.

Try it out, it’s a great program and it’s free!

Better than zapgrab is Jing from jingproject.com with an added benefit of sharing with friends, editing the grab with your own text and comments etc. You can even create a desktop video with that.
    Very nice.
I used to use zapgrab earlier, but now I use jing for everything.

    Thanks

I am also having a problem using zap grab in windows vista. It results to a black image instead of the actual picture. For XP, it works just fine.

Even I am having this black screen grabbing issue in Windows Vista. I was thinking it was only happening to me. Now I get to know that its the problem of others too.
    Thank you

Well, I think there are a lot of people with the same problem. Could be a something related to avoid copies in order to protect intelectual property?, an Explorer configuration? or Vista may be?

I had the same issue using Zap Grab with Vista. Wonder if they are working on a new version solely for vista?

this problem occurs if you try and use the XP version in Vista. You need the Vista version, available separately, and for a small charge.
unfortunately I can’t get the Vista version to extract and run properly – anyone else seen this?
