5 Thousand Rockets Launched at Once for World Record Attempt

Today, the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville Alabama launched 5000 rockets simultaneously to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. It was like an attempt to remember the time when the US was able to record history by sending people on the Moon.

One of the officials of US Space and Rocket Center, Randall Robinson, told Inside Edition that they use to work in the rocket city known as Hostel. They design engines, work on the propulsion, and design all those things that are needed to send the rockets into space.

So, they decided to break the world record for launching the most rockets simultaneously on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo mission.

They spent years in planning for this day. More than 100 volunteers were part of this mission who assembled real rockets for the mission.

They were very small in size about 14.5-15 inches long. Their weight was less than an ounce and half. Each rocket was equipped with a motor for propulsion.

More than 2500 people witnessed the new world record of launching 5000 rockets at a time. They included astronauts, NASA engineers, and hundreds of kids who got enrolled in the youth camp of the center.

End-note:

The center has submitted all of its record-breaking evidence to be added in the Guinness book of world record. The mission of this launch was to encourage potential space travelers for their upcoming missions by showing them that dreams could be achieved. This would encourage them to be part of future record-breaking missions like being the first person on Mars.
