The next-generation graphics card, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, is already gaining popularity before its arrival. It is expected to arrive in the market by the end of this year along with other RTX 3000 GPUs. Recently a new image of the graphics card has been revealed by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) that creates chips for the AMD and NVIDIA’s hardware. However, the credibility of the image is still doubtful.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080?
Initially, the image was posted on the Slashleaks website and then removed with very little endorsement by a user who doesn’t seem to have posted any other leak before. Now, it seems like the image has been leaked by an employee of TSMC.
This image shows a supposedly elongated GPU consisting of three fans. This seems a bit suspicious. Because adding a third fan onto an existing unit, and making it a bit longer could be a tweak by someone who might have edited the image of some other graphics card like RTX 2080 Ti using Photoshop or some other photo editing software. Thus, the new image doesn’t seem convincing.
People were expecting to hear more about Nvidia’s next-generation GPU plans at the Taiwanese tech show, Computex 2020, but the show has been postponed until the end of September due to the Covid-19 pandemic. So, it’s possible that NVIDIA may talk about its upcoming GPUs at its own event especially about the most-awaited RTX 3080 GPU.
