A Twitter user @kopite7kimi recently shared a tweet on his account predicting the possible specifications of GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. According to new rumors, NVIDIA’s new graphics card would have 4532 shader cores and a graphics memory of 10 GB.
The twitter user who predicted the specifications of RTX 3080 also predicted several news about Ampere in the past which came out to be true. But we’re still not sure about the current prediction about RTX 3080.
Geforce RTX 3080 Specification:
This is because 10GB VRAM based on GDDR6 means that there would be a 320-bit wide memory bus. This requires an increased bandwidth for higher frequency GDDR6 memories. However, there is no such information available regarding the frequencies or memories or even GPUs. Similarly, the exact no. of Tensor Cores or RT Cores is still unknown.
It’s just expected that the Tensor Cores and the new RT Cores and of this graphics cards would offer far more performance compared to that of Turing. If this comes out to be true, we will undoubtedly see a powerful graphics card with Ray-Tracing and DLSS technology.
Though much information about the RTX 3080 is still not available on the internet, the above-mentioned tweets holds more information about the lineup. In another news, NVIDIA is investigating how the previously released photos made their way online. The previous photos were leaked by BYD and Foxconn. While most of the NVIDIA’s staff had still not seen the new design.
It’s possible that NVIDIA would make an important announcement regarding its upcoming graphics cards likely after the summer.
