True gamers like to attain high frame rates. Imagine hitting 1,000 frames per second. Unreal? Well, now it is possible on the PC game Doom Eternal. A hardware and overclocking specialist’s team managed to create custom PC that run DOOM Eternal at 1,000 FPS. Good thing is thanks to liquid nitrogen cooling, an overclocked PC gaming machine is able to reach this insane benchmark without melting down.
Doom Eternal Runs at 1000fps on PC cooled by Liquid Nitrogen
This gaming device ables to push the game to its limits at 500-600 FPS. To be able to hit the desired goal without overheating, it required liquid nitrogen to overclock the PC. The team was able to achieve 1,000+ FPS in the DOOM Eternal’s “Hell on Earth” level. This is all done by the custom cooling system.
DOOM Eternal launched earlier this year. Bethesda published a video showing a custom overclocked PC rig breaking the 1,000 FPS threshold benchmark. They used high end PC for test system. Specs are:
- CPU: Intel Core i7 9700K @ 6.6GHz
- Motherboard: ASUS Maximus XI APEX
- GPU: ASUS RTX2080Ti Strix @ 2.4GHz
- RAM: HyperX Predator 4000MHz CL19 2x8GB
- Drive: Samsung 512GB M.2 NVMe Evo Plus
- Power: Be Quiet 1200W Straight Power
Without some help it is not possible for the beast system like this to hit 1,000 FPS. Custom heatsink filled with liquid nitrogen help with the cause.
